Qualified, professional bookkeepers and BAS Agents require ongoing professional development to keep their skills and bookkeeping work at the highest level. WiseClick Training (RTO No 52602) offers a range of short training courses and single units of study from the nationally recognised FNS40217 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping to keep you up to date.

Continued Professional Education (CPE) for Bookkeepers

Continued professional education (CPE) requirements as a certified bookkeeper is generally 90 hours of CPE over a 3-year registration period with a minimum of 20 hours per year if you are a registered BAS Agent.

It is also recommended that you check the details on the Tax Practitioners Board website and review the requirements if you are a member of a professional association as they can be different on occasion. The CPE activities you undertake must be relevant to workplace practices and the BAS services you provide. Other areas such as professional reading, practice management and ethics are also relevant and important to ensure you provide a competent bookkeeping services to your clients.
